Thanks for that link, how interesting, I suppose in this case it translates as; 'I [M James] didn't threaten [caebrwyn] to back off, I was merely informing her of what I was going to do if she didn't.'

  3. exactly, Trevor, I agree with you! Rather disappointed, but it was to be expected. Continue with all your hard work though and keep attending those council meetings. Perhaps bring a solicitor with you next time? Mr. James might feel the INTENT himself then??

  4. To complete the deck, we just needed the new Welsh Assembly Minister and the Ombudsman in this promotional picture. What hope is there??

  5. When you add up their salaries, allowances, expenses, perks and pension contributions, these two gentlemen are costing the taxpayer not much less than £500,000 per year. On this occasion, we also paid for the cake, the photographer and the "newspaper" which published it.

Dyfed Powys police are putting the finishing touches to a massive new extension to their headquarters which has cost us millions of pounds, the purpose being to create a centre to handle major incidents in Wales. How did we manage before? How many major incidents across the country have there been in the last 10 years? How much use will this facility get? Cat stuck up a tree in Llangollen? Bin Laden hiding in a cave in Snowdonia? William Morgan's sheep on the rampage in Mrs Evans's cabbage patch? We can sleep sound now.

And this is what brings these two men together. At a time when schools, old people's homes and day centres, libraries, public toilets, etc., etc. are being closed, when police budgets are being squeezed and cuts are being made, they continue to binge on massive new prestige projects which we will be paying for for years to come.

  8. Chief Constable Knacker, "Just hurry up and cut it before Meryl gets here, or she'll scoff the lot."

  9. Cake says:You may say it is only your 'intention' to cut me up and eat me but to me it's a 'threat'! Would you accept the same explanation from me if our roles were reversed? Thought not!

  10. MJ demonstrates that it is indeed possible to have your cake and eat it.
